Shiftee, an integrated workforce management solution, announced on the 27th that its CEO SeungWon Shin won the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Science and ICT Award at the 2025 Korea Digital Innovation Award.
The 2025 Korea Digital Innovation Award, hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT, is a government program that recognizes companies, institutions, organizations, and individuals who contribute to national development through advancements in the domestic internet industry and the convergence of information and communication technologies.
SeungWon Shin, CEO of Shiftee, won the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Science and ICT Award in recognition of his contributions to improving working environments and advancing the digital transformation of workforce management through the Shiftee solution. Since founding Shiftee in 2017, he has continued to support the digitalization of workforce management for domestic and global companies by providing core workforce management functions through a single platform.
Shiftee supports a wide range of work environments—from field employees to office staff—without limitations in industry or company size, serving a broad customer base that includes small businesses, large enterprises, and public institutions. The solution offers a high level of convenience by enabling company-wide deployment through mobile phones and PCs without the need for additional hardware installation.
Its ease of use, requiring only a simple app installation, has led to broader adoption not only among companies but also in public care programs, such as grandchild-care support services and senior hospital accompaniment services, for enabling automated management of work records and service-usage time.
Shiftee is designed to simplify workforce management by enabling overseas companies, Korea-based foreign subsidiaries, and the overseas branches of Korean companies to manage their workforce within a single system, backed by its ability to respond quickly to changes in laws and regulations.
Shiftee’s operational stability is another strength. In the first half of this year, the company obtained a corporate credit rating of BBB0 (Stable) and a cash-flow rating of A. Its steady business performance and reliable financial standing are key reasons why customers choose Shiftee as a long-term operating partner.
SeungWon Shin said, “This award belongs to the team members who strengthened digital competitiveness and advanced our technology by dedicating themselves to the single goal of improving workforce management, as well as to the customers who have continued to place their trust in Shiftee.” He added, “We will further enhance our quality and technical capabilities to become the best workforce management partner in responding to rapidly evolving technologies and emerging work patterns.”
Meanwhile, SeungWon Shin has led cloud-based HR innovation in Korea through the development and advancement of Shiftee, and was named a Forbes Korea 2030 Power Leader in 2020 and a Forbes Asia 30 Under 30 honoree in 2022.
